Furnished or partly furnished: what to check
Check included furniture and equipment before planning a viewing.
Ask for an inventory
Partly furnished can mean very different things. Do not assume that a bed, refrigerator or washing machine is included. Ask for a dated list and current photos.
Check condition
With permission, test appliances, taps and air conditioning. Note existing damage and confirm the inventory in the move-in inspection. Clarify maintenance responsibilities in writing.
Include moving costs
Compare transport, installation and purchases alongside monthly rent. A lower rent can mean higher upfront spending. Keep one column for moving in and another for recurring costs.
